This policy covers everything Humox runs: humox.dev (this marketing site), Rushly (social-proof widgets) and Emote (product reactions). It’s intentionally short — we don’t collect much, and we’d rather be honest about exactly what we do collect than hide it in a wall of text.
1. Data we collect
From the humox.dev marketing site — request logs (URL, user agent, timestamp) kept for 30 days for abuse prevention. No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics, no ads.
From Rushly (installed on your Shopify store):
- Anonymized product view, add-to-cart, and remove-from-cart events through Shopify’s web pixel framework.
- For legacy Cart Count installs only: cart updates via Shopify webhooks (cart tokens, product and variant IDs).
- Order data — only the count, to power sales-ticker widgets, and for legacy installs to mark a cart as “converted” when an order is placed.
- Shop-related data: shop domain, plan tier, subscription status — used to provision the app and gate paid features.
From Emote (installed on your Shopify store):
- Anonymous reaction events through the storefront — which emoji a shopper clicked on which product, collection, or article.
- A short-lived session identifier in the shopper’s browser so one person can’t inflate a reaction count by clicking repeatedly.
- Shop-related data: shop domain, plan tier, subscription status.
What we never collect: shopper names, emails, IP addresses (hashed and discarded at the edge), payment info, or anything that lets us identify a specific person.
2. How we use it
- Compute the real-time counts shown by widgets.
- Aggregate reaction totals per product / collection / article.
- For legacy Rushly installs, update cart status on order placement.
- Keep the app running smoothly inside your Shopify store.
We don’t sell data. We don’t share it with advertisers. We don’t use it to train ML models.
3. How long we keep it

4. How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. It’s stored on managed cloud infrastructure and not shared with third parties.
5. Your rights
Merchants may request access to or deletion of shop information at any time. Shopper data is anonymous by design, so there’s typically nothing to look up — if you’re a shopper and believe a Humox-powered widget is mis-representing your activity, email us and we’ll investigate.
